Store Gift Cards - Acceptable Starting Four Digits for Visa Gift Cards

Last updated on Dec 11, 2025

When selling Visa gift cards on Cardnaira, it's very important to know which specific card types we accept. Not all Visa cards can be traded. We primarily identify acceptable card types by the first four digits of the card number (also known as the Bank Identification Number, or BIN).

Selecting the correct card type is a crucial step to ensure a smooth transaction. Submitting the wrong type will result in your order being rejected.

Why are the first four digits of the card number so important?

Visa gift cards are issued by various banks or financial institutions, such as MetaBank, Bancorp Bank, and others. Each issuing institution has its unique card number prefix. Different issuers mean that the card's activation method, usage restrictions, and verification process can be completely different.

Therefore, Cardnaira only accepts Visa gift cards from specific issuing institutions to ensure our verification system can process your transaction efficiently and securely.

Acceptable Starting Four Digits for Visa Gift Cards

Before submitting your Visa gift card, please check if your card number begins with the following digits. Currently, we primarily accept the following types on the Cardnaira platform:

  • 4941

  • 4358

  • 4847

  • 4038

Note: This list may be updated based on market conditions and banking partnerships. When submitting a transaction, please refer to the latest options available on the Cardnaira selling page.

How to Correctly Submit Your Visa Gift Card

  1. Check the card number: Before selecting "Visa Gift Card" on the selling page, first confirm that the first four digits of your card number are within our accepted range.

  2. Select the correct sub-category: In the Visa gift card selling options, you may see sub-categories distinguished by different starting digits. Be sure to select the option that exactly matches your card.

  3. Avoid incorrect submissions: If you submit a Visa card that is not one of the types we accept, our system will automatically detect and reject the order during the verification stage. This will extend your waiting time and may cause unnecessary trouble.

What if my card is not on this list?

If your Visa gift card number does not start with the digits listed above, it is likely not supported by our current system. We recommend that you do not submit this card to avoid a failed transaction.

If you have any questions about your card type or are unsure if it can be traded, please feel free to contact our 24/7 online customer service. Be prepared to provide relevant information about the card (please do not send the full card number and PIN directly), and our team will be happy to assist you.
